got my testing done finally and hoo boy! that audio processing sure is disordered

#now looking into hearing aids and audioty training I can do at home #unfortunately the auditory training isn't covered by insurance (like at all) so hearing aids may ironically end up being more affordable #auditory processing disorder #hard of hearing #disabled guy shit

borrowing my dad's hearing aids (he is deaf, but never wears them due to personal choice) for a week to see if it could improve my auditory processing issues at all, because now that I'm back in school I've noticed how much I can't hear.

so far, music is CRAZY. there's so many sounds I couldn't hear before.

watching youtube is also easier, I don't have to look directly at the screen or subtitles the whole time just to know what's going on, frankly it's lovely.

if it significantly improves my hearing in conversations, I may consider getting some low gain aids for myself.

this is also the first time I've ever considered that I might actually be hard of hearing, so it's a bit of a mind blower for me. will update
