A trainer and their Chansey enter through the automatic doors of the Goldenrod City Convention Center, each with a hand pushing an empty wheelchair. The trainer, Zhvair, looks at a pamphlet in their hands. “Let’s see...this is supposed to be where the Disabled Trainers & Pokémon annual get-together is, right Prunella?”

“Chansey chansey!” Prunella confirms happily. Being a trained service pokemon, she’s been here before. 

“Hmm...” Zhvair says, looking around, a bit lost and not sure where to start.

There's a Kalos tournament for disabled Pokemon of all kinds! My Bisharp, Piercing, loves to go and watch the tournament. From what some "Pokemon translators" have told me, it's because he enjoys seeing Pokemon keeping their fighting spirit even when they are blind, deaf, or otherwise disabled. It's pretty amazing to watch.

That’s wonderful. I’m quite glad to see other Pokémon keeping their fighting spirit up despite their disabilities. It’s also nice to hear that your Bisharp is cheering them on.

Hopefully other regions will start to get into the idea of tournaments for disabled Pokémon.
