When they need to have private conversations at the camps, Jason flies them in the air. Arguments never last long this way because they have to hold onto each other. They used to go underwater sometimes too, but the fish gossiped too much.
They're so touchy with each other like even in a nonsexual way. They always want to have some sort of contact with each other. So they'll hold hands across the table. Or even hold just pinkies sometimes. If one of them sits too far away, they're man spreading just so they can press their thighs together. It's the constant reminder they both need that they're together and safe.
They made the mistake of going under water once, the nereids gossiped so much the entire camp new about their stupid argument, the fish would not stop talking about it, not to mention Triton ended up hearing about it and teased him for it when he went to visit. They did not try again. They will underwater to hang out and kiss though, because it's not like that's a secret
Having arguments up in the sky though is such a fun visual, if it's a heated one a small hurricane starts whipping up around them, lightning starts sparking off Jason, it's quite the spectacle. Having to hold each other so close, look into each other's eyes, the fights turn to gentle conversations, and it's not uncommon to end with a kiss either
Jason who has anxiety being in a world so much bigger and different than the one he grew up in, Percy who is never far from drifting off into a dissociative episode, always just holding on to each, grounding and reassuring each other, I'm here, you're not alone, this is real
They can function with out each other of course, but if they are together they are together, these boys are the cuddliest mother fuckers, Jason is sitting an arm chair reading, Percy crawls in to his lap and just exists there for a while, Percy is cooking and Jason is hugging him from behind like it's his job
