I would love to see Eddie and Nancy forming a “woe is me” support group when they both suspect that Steve and Robin are together and they’ll never be able to date them.
This blossoms into a strangely amazing friendship that no one expected.
But this, in turn, makes Steve and Robin form their own “woe is me” support group thinking their crushes somehow are getting together which is the last thing they ever expected.
(They realize their mistake when Valentine’s Day approaches and the four of them are hanging out.
Steve casually asks Eddie what he and Nancy are doing.
Eddie confusedly shoots Nancy a look and responds, “Nothing? What are you and Robin doing?”
“I don’t know what he’s doing, but I’ll be moping around at home,” Robin replies, further confusing the shit out of Eddie and Nancy.
Nancy asks, “Did Steve not plan something for you?”
“Why the hell would I?” Steve shoots back.
Eddie hesitantly answers, “It’s good boyfriend etiquette.” Nancy agrees.
“Why are you talking about good boyfriend etiquette when Eddie has nothing planned for you two?” Robin asks and Steve nods in agreement.
They’re all silent for a few moments before it all suddenly hits them. None of them are together.
They break into hysterical laughter, and when it dies down they’d let begin arguing asking how in the world they thought each so called “couple” was together.
Afterwards, Nancy makes plans with Robin so she doesn’t have to mope around on her own. And Eddie and Steve plan something together to prove they have “good boyfriend etiquette.”)
