Sunrise 2021

It was a cool month for the Keys, but we made five design decisions for the house. The biggest was to repaint every room the color of sunrise. The second was to choose pink versus peach. I didn't want a Barbie house, but we should have gone all in for pink at the beginning. It took me five years!

Living room painted in 2021

1. Repaint every room in Pink Ground like the living room to look more like one gigantic sunrise.

2. Paint the grey cabinets in Pink Ground. It will bring in more light. Don't confuse pink with peach.

3. Hang the gold mirror in the dining room to bring in more light. More sunrise. Also an mat for entry.

Inspired by this Chicago apartment’s dining area, and adding entryway runner.

4. Update both bathrooms.

Idea for master bath vs wallpaper for second bathroom.

5. Repaint the blue-grey master bedroom as Pink Ground. Add the southwest abstract carpet now in the Media Room.

Repainting the blue-grey master bedroom as Pink Ground will make a more unified look from the living room, and vice versa. Also replacing the couch and area rug in two more years (7-year average).

6. Buy shades. Mid-century shades.

5-months! I’m loving the beard growth, and note the trimmed mustache vs the fully grown one. (Late vs early April). Now I need a haircut 😎.
