What moment from the Hey Everybody! video you’d recreate with your ship: So I think Cal would convince you to help him walk the dogs from the video and he’d tell you stories about each of the dogs like their name and who their owner was. I think he’d also try to convince you that you needed to get a dog together.
Drabble:
Cal called you up at some ridiculous hour on your day off tohelp him bake a cake for Mikey’s twentieth birthday. The sun hadn’t even comeup yet and you were in the store buying icing and eggs for a cat themedbirthday cake. You arrived at Calum’s apartment with two bags and waited forhim to answer the door. He appeared with only grey joggers on and you sighedeven though you really enjoyed the view.
“You need to put some clothes on to bake,” you reminded himas you handed the bags to him.
You followed your boyfriend, your hands idly on his waist ashe headed to the kitchen. He turned back to you and wrapped his arms aroundyour waist.
“Thanks for agreeing to help,” he said with a sleepy smile. “Ihaven’t got a clue how to make a fucking cat cake. He just said it because heknew that.”
You patted Cal’s cheek and sent him to get dressed as youprepped the kitchen. You put on some music and began to measure out the ingredientswith a small dance as you moved between the countertops. Humming as you stirredthe butter and sugar together, you started belting out a rendition of The Used’sGreener with the Scenery. At the end, you realised somebody was clapping andCal was leant against the door watching you.
“I think I better watch my back for my spot in the band.”
“Come and help,” you moaned as you threw the tea towel athim.
You got him to stir the mixture as you added the ingredientsin, commenting about how his arms looked amazing mixing the batter. After you’dexplained how you were going to make the cake a dome so you could turn it intoa curled up cat, Cal kept muttering about how clever his girlfriend was. He watchedas you iced the cake, making it a collar from royal icing, and even makingginger stripes across its back and tale.
You stood back from it and nodded approvingly.
“It looks amazing, babe. Mike will love it.”
“You’re going to tell him you made it, aren’t you?” youasked with a small sigh.
“I was going to say we worked on it together,” Cal saiddefensively. “The bet was that I made it so if I helped, technically I didn’tbreak the rules.”
You shook your head and Cal pressed a kiss to your cheek.
“You love me really,” he said quietly with a laugh.
