On this Rock?
Peter lay in the prison cell. His crucifixion was imminent. If he did not offer a sacrifice to the Emperor he was to die. Yet his mind was in his past. Remembering the hard life he had on the shores. His resentment at his brother, Andrew, becoming a disciple of John the Baptist. ‘Leaving all the man’s work to me!’ He thought rebelliously. As a good, God fearing Jew he knew his Torah. And had…

John, Near the Foot of the Cross
John, Near the Foot of the Cross
Jesus has been arrested, tried and sentenced to death.

He took his…

“Jesus sent Peter and John and said, “Go and get this special supper ready for us that we may eat.” {Luke 22:8}

“It was about time for Jesus to be taken up into heaven. He turned toward Jerusalem and was sure that nothing would stop Him from going.” {Luke 9:51}
The time has come for Jesus to head into Jerusalem. He knows he is going to be arrested and crucified when he arrives.
“He sent men on ahead of Him. They came to a town in Samaria. There they got things ready for Jesus. 53 The people did…
