The Day the World Looked Up. The Original Roswell Daily Record!

History or Hoax? On this day in July 1947 (and famously revisited in 1948), the Roswell Daily Record dropped a headline that changed pop culture forever: "RAAF Captures Flying Saucer On Ranch in Roswell Region."

Before it was "weather balloons" and "Project Mogul," it was a "Flying Disk." This single front page launched a thousand theories, a dozen TV shows, and turned a small New Mexico town into the UFO capital of the world.

Listen: Disclosure teams up with Nile Rodgers on "Together"

When genius collides.

Earlier this year, Nile Rodgers mentioned a collaboration with UK house duo Disclosure was in the works (via FACT), and the fruits of that pairing is now here for us to feast our ears on. Also featuring "Latch"-singer Sam Smith and producer Jimmy Napes, it's a slinky funker with lipstick already smooched on its collar. Check out the lyrics video below.

Listen: Disclosure - "Apollo"

It's fun watching the quick rise to fame Disclosure have been riding since their The Face EP began creating buzz for them last year. Now their debut Settle is looking very likely to be topping some year-end best lists in 2013 (possibly our own considering there doesn't seem to be one Jingle Punk that doesn't listen to it regularly).

The London duo now have a new track to add to the mix, the swooshing house track "Apollo," a jam that may or may not be a Settle outtake. Regardless of its status, it knocks all the same whether it's a loner or wedged between "Stimulation" and "Voices."
