Disconnected Chapter Four-Teaser

“What’s she been up to?” he asked. Everyone in the room knew what the question meant despite the vagueness of it.

Ashton sighed placing the plate on the counter. “You know I have no idea but whatever it is, it can’t be good. Lots of running, think she fell a few times, oh and check this out-” Ashton lifted his shirt to reveal an array of fresh blue and purple bruises littering his left ribs, stretching out to touch his left shoulder and meet with his right ribs. “I think she got into a fight. I swear, when I meet her I am going to swaddle her in bubble wrap so she doesn’t keep getting hurt.”

“How bad does that one hurt?” asked Luke.

“Pretty bad, I don’t even want to think about how much pain she’s in today. God, I hope she takes it easy for a while, for her own sake more than mine. I woke up thinking somebody was running over my chest with a lawnmower.”

Calum stayed silent in the midst of the conversation. None of the men seemed to notice. They were now all complaining about what their soulmates were doing throughout the night. Calum couldn’t help but to feel left out. He was the only one who didn’t have any information about his other half to add. While he assumed that he would eventually get a soulmate tattoo when he was ready, he was still insecure about the fact that he had no known connection to his soulmate, whoever they were.

Chapter Four will be released this Sunday. Figured we’d take a small peak into the soulmate situations of the other boys while we’re here anyways.

The one and only spolier you will get for the final chapter of Disconnected

 She’d been on the soulmate search train with Lynn for so long now that she wasn’t sure how to get off. But the train had stopped. It had reached its destination.

“See you in a bit mate, congrats.” he whispered into Luke’s ear before patting him on the back and joining the boys with Mitchy in tow. One word hung over the entire group but nobody dared to speak it. Soulmates.

“Because I knew.” Lynn sobbed, an ugly sob that made her entire body shake. “I knew, but I didn't do anything. It’s all my fault. I’m selfish. I’m so sorry.”

Disconnected Chapter Six Teaser

“Then there’s only one thing you can do.” Calum said after thinking about it for a moment. Luke looked at Calum quizzically wondering what his friend was talking about. “You’ve got to find her and prove her wrong. Show her the real Luke Hemmings. Show her how sweet, kind, and annoyingly romantic you are.” Calum told Luke nudging his broad shoulder with his own. “There’s no way she won’t love once she gets to know you.”

“Thanks Calum.” Luke said after a moment, emotionally touched by his friend’s words.

“And if all else fails,” Calum smirked. “Show her your wallet.”

“Ohhh Calum.” Luke sighed; face palming and shaking his head yet still smiling.

“I’m just saying,” laughed Calum as he stood up and patted Luke’s shoulder before walking towards the door to go back in the cottage, wanting to give Luke some privacy. “Stick a condom in between the credit cards!” he called over his shoulder.

To his left, Luke noticed an acoustic guitar resting on a stand. Not just any guitar, his guitar. The guitar he’d used all of those years ago when he was recording videos on his own and uploading them to YouTube. Before Michael and Calum had even come along, before Ashton had completed the band.

Luke felt his arm being pulled towards the guitar. He felt his fingers grasp and lift it by the neck and sling the strap over his shoulder. His fingers fell back into place, taking the shape of a C chord on his left hand while his fingers belonging to his right hand held onto the thin pick he didn’t remember having before. But he didn’t start to play just yet.

“This is ground control to Major Tom, you’ve really made the grade.” She started again. “And he papers want to know whose shirts you wear. And it’s time to leave the capsule if you dare.”

This time Luke joined in, his fingers using the pick to pluck and strum the right strings. Hammering on and pulling off of the fret board.

“This is Major Tom to ground control.” Luke sang. “I’m stepping through the door. And I’m floating in the most peculiar way.” Luke saw her head tilt slightly. Her chest rose as she took a deep breath.

Kay so these came from two different sections of the chapter......just to let you know. I mean, it’s called a teaser for a reason :p

He let out the smoke from his lungs and refilled them with the fresh air around him then succumbed to the song in his head.
