Octocon is a new app for systems. It's traumacentric and made by traumagenic systems. It also has a discord bot that is a lot easier to use than pk in my opinion. You can also sync your app and the bot so you can edit alters in the app. The app is on android already and coming to IOS soon. Hope this helps some people :)

(If you're in a server, I recommend adding this bot as more people are starting to use it instead of pk and tupperbox)

Octocon policy on endogenic systems on their discrd server:

**Our policy on endogenic systems.**

While we cannot restrict those who use our resources, we wish that our stance on endogenic systems is known: Octocon's bot, app, and communities are *not intended to be used by those who identify as "non-traumagenic" systems in any capacity.* In addition, positive discussion of concepts such as purposefully creating alters, appropriated tulpamancy, and "system-hopping" are **banned.**

Debate of these topics (commonly known as "syscourse" or "system discourse") is explicity banned. General discussion of them is okay as long as people are not being targeted, bullied, or overly generalized. Hate speech towards either side of the argument is **not tolerated.**

Octocons recent statement on privacy and their stance on non traumagenic systems posted to discord:

Hi, I'd like to do a bit of clarification here. There's word going around (especially on platforms such as Tumblr and TikTok) that we're "anti-endo" and are going to go on "user crusades" to ban non-traumagenics like certain other SP/PK alternatives did.

**This has not happened and will never happen.**

We consider our community to be *traumacentric*, in the sense that our platform was designed specifically for people with traumagenic/medical DID/OSDD in mind. We explicitly develop our platform to accommodate symptoms such as dissociative amnesia. We are **not** going to stop anyone from using the app or bot, we just ask that our *Discord community* sticks to that theme so we can form a proper support group around that demographic. Going on "endogenic crusades" would be uncouth, childish, against our values, and quite frankly absurd.

**We have a neutral stance on systems not caused by trauma. Our platform just isn't designed for them nor around them.** If you came here with the intention of sparking discourse regarding this subject, please leave.

A part that bothers me in particular is that this also implies that we would violate user privacy (or have *already* violated it, which is even worse). As stated in our [privacy policy](https://octocon.app/docs/platform/privacy), this is also **not** the case. We will **never** look into someone's account unless we are legally forced to do so under U.S. law, or that person volunteers to share some information to help us fix a bug, at which point we will **consensually** collect as little information as possible.

I ask that anyone who notices this kind of rhetoric going around on external platforms help us to clarify any misinformation. It would help lessen our workload immensely so we can focus on developing features, fixing bugs, and stabilizing our community. For those of you I've seen who have already helped with this, **I thank you** from the bottom of my heart.

Octocon discord server information:

Octocon is the all-in-one platform for systems with dissociative disorders (such as DID and OSDD) to navigate their disorder and express themselves.

We maintain an app to manage alters and log fronts, a Discord bot to send messages as your alters, and a Discord-based community to meet and communicate with other systems.

**The app.**

The anchor of our platform is the Octocon app: a modern, intuitive, and secure application for Android and iOS. It includes the following functionality (and more!):

1. Management of alters and personal attributes

2. Viewing and editing in-depth front history

3. Front notifications from friends

In-app journaling

**The bot.**

We also provide a separate way to manage most of the app's features: the Octocon Discord bot! You can edit your alters' attributes through the bot's slash commands just like the app, in addition to the ability to create **proxies**.

Proxies allow you to send a message like `a-Hello there!` in an Octocon-enabled server and have the bot send `Hello there!` as a given alter in its place. It's like having multiple Discord accounts in one, each automatically synced with your alters' information!

**The community.**

You're here right now! Here, you can chat with other systems, discuss development of our platform and make suggestions, and get notifications about updates and maintenance. Read the rules and you'll be good to go!

To get started, go into any channel with the Octocon bot and run the `/register` command. Documentation is being worked on, but feel free to ask or check the faqs if you have any questions!

**How do I get started with the bot?**

You can get started by running the `/register` command!

**Can I import my alters from PluralKit or Simply Plural?**

Yep! After registering, you can run the `/settings import-pk` or `/settings import-sp` commands respectively to import your data. Both require a special token; there are detailed guides for each platform [here](https://octocon.app/docs/discord/import-data).

**Are my commands private?**

Yep! All `/slash commands` you execute can only be seen by you, regardless of where you send them.

**How do I invite Octocon to my server?**

Click on the Octocon bot in the members list of this server, then click the `+ Add App` button. Discord will walk you through it from there!

**Who can see my alters?**

Alters, tags, custom fields, etc. are **all** private by default, unlike many other platforms where data is encouraged to be public. If you'd like to make an alter public or viewable by your friends, you can use the `/alter security` command.

**Is there an alternative to memorizing alter IDs?**

Yep! Octocon provides a feature called "aliases" that work just like IDs. For example, if you run `/alter edit id:1 alias:Atlas`, you can refer to the alter with ID `1` as `Atlas` in any command that takes an `id` field (like `/alter view id:Atlas`).

**Where can I see a list of all the commands?**

Slash commands are awesome because you can find commands just by typing (typing `/alter` will show you all of its subcommands in real-time), but there's also an [online version](https://octocon.app/docs/discord/commands) if you'd like.

**How does autoproxy work?**

Autoproxying works similarly to PluralKit, except that it's global across all servers, and has some extra features.

You can change your autoproxy mode with the `/autoproxy` command. "Latch" will automatically proxy as the last-proxied alter, and "Front" will proxy as the alter in primary front (or the longest-fronting alter if primary front is not set).

**Help, I imported my alters from the wrong platform and want to start over!**

No worries! You can delete all of your alters in bulk using the `/danger wipe-alters` command. Be careful, though; this is irreversible!

Is there/would you ever consider making a browser version of octocon? I wanna try it out but I don't like having to install things
