Vanuatu to Launch Major Marketing Campaign
Thanks to some really hard work by Consultant Michael Meade, the Vanuatu Tourism Office,, The Vanuatu Hotels & Resorts Association, Air Vanuatu, and our Donor Partners from the New Zealand and Australian High Commissions we are now ready to commence a sustained marketing activity which will be rolled out in two phased in Oct/Nov 2015 and Jan Feb 2016. The details of the activities are being signed off and edited as we speak by GTI in Sydney and then next week a final stamp from the Vanuatu Marketing Steering Committee which will then seen the pre-Christmas activity ramp up.
The main activity will be spearheaded by TVC's in Australia New Zealand and New Caledonia but these will not go to air until early in 2016. Given the timing the main thrust will come in the first quarter of 23016 which whilst we know is not ideal we are now moving to a timing that would see us competing for attention in the cramped pre-Christmas advertising spaces in all media.
The industry will be so looking forward to seeing this get under way and the expectations are that it will make a difference and that the focus of the
Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) will be to try and sustain that increased level of activity through 2016 and beyond.
Already Air Vanuatu has launched Low Season airfares into the market from Sydney, Brisbane and Auckland which makes non peak travel to Vanuatu very affordable.
Many of the Hotels and resorts will also be campaigning trough On Line Travel Agents and direct via their own websites with great deals again in the off peak season which basically extends from 1st November to 15th December 2015 and then from 20th January till 31st March 2016
