The first of three Pink Floyd albums without Roger Waters. There are some really good tracks on here, but it’s hard to see it as a Pink Floyd album. It doesn’t sound like one or like a development of any of their previous sounds except “The Dogs of War.” Plus, every song on the first side is co-written by people outside the group. Five of the six songs on side two are solely by David Gilmour. Mason and Wright have no songwriting credits at all.
