Discovery Task #6: One year, one page

While browsing Instagram I came across some inspiration from Penelope Gazin to use sticky notes as panels for comics. I was excited to try it out as I watched her process all week long in her Instagram stories. This task was perfect for it. However, the sticky notes were too large for the page so I had to make some cuts to create a 9 panel comic. 

This comic illustrates in a minimal way of my experience of getting an internship then hired at what once was my dream job in Orlando. Once I started seeing the toxic work environment and lack of care for me as a member of the team, I made a responsible decision. And then I took a vacation.

Discovery Task 6 - A Travel Comic So this weekend I went to St. Pete and went to my first Rays baseball game so I thought that this experience would be perfect for my assignment. The first panel, and probably the most important one, is a screenshot of the iconic part of tropicana field and that's the big tropicana logo and big orange with the ads around it. Next is a picture of me holding a hot dog because what's a baseball game without them? It proceeds to the next panel with the Rays mascot Raymond and I drew this from a picture I saw of him within the stadium. And the last is just a generic view of the field which is cool to me but doesn't give it justice with how huge the field actually is. I'm happy with how the comic came out and I think people can recognize where I went, especially with the huge tropicana sign and Orange.
