love vimes being a little bits-and-bobs knowledge guy. he just picks things up. he can noodle his way through some latin. he has an encyclopedic knowledge of the city based on how it feels to walk on the street. just things he picks up through experience mostly. it walks a delightful line between regular guy and the sherlockian deduction trope - he's been around the block a few times and when he's happy he's observant and thoughtful, and that accumulates

Yeah I have! He’s actually one of my favorite authors! I love his whole philosophy on life and his writing is masterful and enjoyable—he’s one of ...three? I think? Authors whose stuff I’ve read was so good I had to set it down for a minute bc I got physically angry to see my craft at its absolute peak & wish it was something I did that incredibly—not in a bad way it’s just hard to explain lol (And the super ace/aro spectrum writing is a plus too). I super do vibe with it! So good instincts!

heyyoo. not too sure if this has been asked yet, but would it make sense for ghosts to have occupations and such? or would they essentially just be wandering spirits? esp if it depends on when they let people see them/humans who don't know about the supernatual~

It honestly depends! I think there could be both ghosts that wander and lead a rather purposeless, ghostly existence but there are also ghosts that cling more to their humanity and integrate into society. Obviously, in some cases, this can be tricky when it comes to providing the appropriate documentation that comes with applying for jobs, but if a nice witch or psychic (or anyone aware of the supernatural) is running the joint, they just might make an exception.
