Kestral’s entire family was celebrating another battle won with food and drink, shouting and singing as they feasted. Kestral himself was sat at the front of the table, once again having been named the true victor of the fight. It wasn’t undeserved; he was a fearsome warrior, and his people loved him for it. They dressed him in capes made out of the finest furs and wreathes made out of the most beautiful flowers, and awarded him with the best prizes.
He was laden by all kinds of inanimate riches, looted from dead soldiers and villagers. He was done with that; he had a belly full of meat and mead, and wanted to get to the next half of the celebration.
Multiple slaves had been captured from the enemies’ Keep, and the finest were lined up before him now. Kestral looked them over briefly, his eyes quickly finding one in particular. He locked gazes with a bold young man, brave enough to make eye contact with one of his captors. He was beautiful enough, draped in strings of jewels to meet the prince’s tastes. Kestral took little time in thinking over his decision. “I want that one.”
@dishominibusque liked for a Richard starter (directed towards Gray since you wanted more for him)
"The tattoo became infected after he left the studio. You gave him proper instructions on how to care for it and sold him the lotion to put on it. You did everything by the book, a judge will see that and you won't get in trouble. Though, I would still talk to your lawyer, since I'm not one yet but they really have nothing to get you in trouble." Richard said, looking down into his book while he took a drink of his tea. "You're not worried are you?"
[text] I FOUND A LIFE SIZE HORSE SKELETON THING AT HOME DEPOT.
Will blinked in surprise at the text he had gotten from Kate, as since this was Jump City, that skeleton horse could actually be still breathing in that weird undead way.
[Text: Cute Model] Which Home Depot? I need to know so that I can meet you there.

Blaine’s life was a very simple and easy one. He was fed and confortable and well-cared for by his owner, who fawned over him like he was the most adorable thing they’d ever seen. Blaine didn’t miss or even long for the ocean; he barely thought about it, didn’t even remember it much, since he’d been taken from his mother as a pup. His entire world was his comfy habitat where he could sleep all day or play with his owner or eat all the fish his belly could possibly hold.
He'd been trying very hard to follow that schedule, but for some reason, his sleep was restless. He tossed and turned on his warm little rock, letting out frustrated little whimpers. Something was wrong.
That something came in the form of another merperson, thrown thrashing and barking into Blaine's pool. Blaine jolted when it happened, nearly falling off of his rock because of the shock. He stared, wet, dark eyes wide with confusion and maybe a little bit of fear.

Danny bowed his head and tried to pull away. He didn’t like the chains on him or the way the men looked at him or really any of all of this. The man just wanted to be out. His watery eyes ducked away as the handler approached.
“So this is the one you bid on? Good luck. He’s been a handful for the past few days. Shy as all hell and pretty unresponsive unless you beat him bloody.” The gruff man told the other. Danny’s chain leash was held out to the buyer. “Here ya’ go.”

Noah tipped his head, watching, but said nothing. He was blushing furiously, having missed Liam’s face entirely as he’d closed his eyes too early, trying to keep from losing his nerve.
If Liam took a moment, he likely would be able to feel a presence directly in front of him, so close he was practically in the other’s lap.
