Hi! I wanted to ask something. I started picking at my hands when I was little bc I noticed that little "bubbles" of skin appeared in my hands. It's not like they are full of water or anything. They're just like little bubbles of loose skin and they are kind of tempting to pick. I wanted to know if this is normal or what because when I told my therapist about it she said she never noticed something like that in her skin. I don't know if they appear bc I do the washing up without gloves. Thank yo
Hi there. You should ask a dermatologist. They are more qualified to talk about skin and health issues. A therapist may not know about the wide range of skin issues.
I've been having a problem with dishwashing too. In the last few months, my hands get very wrinkly, very quickly. Like within 5 minutes of washing. Afterwards, I notice that my hands get very flaky. Like a bunch of little popped skin bubbles. Or really roughed up skin, like I used sandpaper on them.
It may not be the same thing as yours, since I don't see bubbles in the skin, but I have seen them in the past. Anyway, I don't think they're much to worry about. You can see your doctor and they can tell you what it is.
I did a Google search and remember reading about dishpan hands. It happens when you wash dishes too long. I started using gloves and that helps. I also try to just wash dishes once a day.
Anyway, hope you get some help. Take care!
