Ooh this fits a few of my ships but I think the main one has to be Isla George x Dean Winchester!

There’s a combination of the idea that they’ll stick together through anything and everything that happens to them (including death and the end of the world), and the line “I need that fire just to know that I'm awake” resonates very strongly with Isla in an arc that I have where she talks about how being with Dean is the only thing that makes her feel like she’s actually alive again!

Isla and dean non-hunters au?

OKAY SO!!!!!

in a non-hunting au, Isla goes to Stanford, where she’s a couple of years ahead of her childhood best friend, Jessica Moore!  After graduating (having studied psychology with a minor in classics) she decides to take a year off before grad school to travel the country, where she regularly runs into Dean Winchester; a seasonal mechanic at Singer Salvage Yard who’s also travelling the country.  Whenever they run into each other they end up sharing a motel room for the night and parting ways in the morning (whoever wakes up first leaves while the other is asleep), but after Isla’s car breaks down during one such encounter, and Dean informs her that it’s dead for good, he ends up inviting him to join him on his road trip

They end up gonig to Stanford for Dean to visit his brother, only for Isla to find out that the mysterious Sam Winchester is dating her best friend
