my best friend Katie and i are waiting in line for the Haunted Mansion and we're going off on one of our crazy 'how Sherlock survived his fall' theories and then BOOM! Benedict Cumberbatch! he's just right behind us all alone and he causally interjects his theory and we start smiling and we're totally just playing along with what he's saying.
we laugh and shake his hand and we introduce ourselves. and we just get to talking. it was a long line and we go through the cemetery and the line picks up. we're going through there playing with everything quickly and casually. he asks if he can join us on our adventure through the mansion and we agree without hesitation.
we get inside and me and Benedict are quoting the ride as we go into the stretching room. his laugh, holy hell was it like the narrator (who's name alludes me at the moment). we get into the Doom-Buggy with just enough room as we're both squished up against him. he's saying sorry that he's so tall and we're so tiny... except Katie. then they both attack me with short jokes.
as we're quoting the ride and going through it, he has his arms around us for more comfort. we're having a hell of a time!
then it ride ends and we all exit. Benedict then asks to join us on our adventure and we say of course! so we go all around Disney, acting like total dorks! meeting characters, going into the gift shops and having pirate battles in the stores and going on rides! there are TONS of pictures of all three of us being big dorks.
then Benedict get's a call from Martin Freeman. we meet up with him and we ALL go around acting like dorks! Martin totally understood what it was like to be short. then me and Martin teamed up against Katie and Benedict. then we swapped. Benedict and I were fantastic at sword battles than Katie and Martin were.
by the end of the day, we have the most magical day at Magic Kingdom. Benedict and Martin's phone numbers for texting and calling, photos galore! (that's why the gave us the numbers, for the pictures on our phones and of course because we were totally awesome). we got their autographs and they were just giant dorks.
we left and showed all of our friends our day of being dorks with Ben and Martin.
then, i got off the van and went home. it was an interesting fantasy and a great time waster :)
