Walt Disney's Words To Live By
“A lie keeps growing and growing until it’s as plain as the nose on your face”
Close your eyes, and forget what you see. What do you feel?
Invaluable life lesson
One of the realest things Disney ever taught me. It's always something to remember because we don't realize how true it is until it happens 💯

Have courage and be kind
I try to live my life with a little extra kindness. It doesn’t have to be anything big. It is partially for selfish reasons, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside but hopefully it helps someone else out too.
Sometimes just the most random acts can have the biggest impact. An unexpected smile can change someone’s outlook, (at least for a moment) letting someone merge in a traffic jam could make the traffic a little more bearable, or sharing a compliment (you were thinking it anyway) can boost someone’s self esteem. These are small things but they can mean a world of difference to the other person.
My dad says if I ever get lost in the crowd you just need to sneeze. I’ll be the one saying bless you from across the room. (My dad says a lot of things but I found this particularly relevant.) I don’t kid myself into thinking this actually accomplishes anything but I’d like to think it’s nice to know someone cares. Even just enough to acknowledge you sneezed.
I’m not perfect though. I have bad days, where I’m more concerned about my own feelings than anyone else’s but I feel better about my day when I know I did my best to spread cheer and make my corner of the world a little nicer.
When the new live action Cinderella came out in theaters I sat watching raptly (also there were tears), not just at the beautiful dresses I wanted to wear, but at one of my favorite childhood movies being retold so elaborately (and beautifully.) The storyline stayed true to the animated classic but in this retelling the moral of the story was brought to the forefront. “Have courage and be kind” is Ella’s mother’s words of advice. And it’s not always easy for her to do so but she knows that it is the right thing to do even when those around her are being ugly (on the inside, cause they actually looked really beautiful.)
And that’s exactly the spirit I try to put into each day, every moment, and any interaction I have with another person (Or thing I don’t discriminate, plants and animals need our kindness too)
I am Quasimodo
Watching hunchback of Notre Dame and I just realized that the judge treating Quasimodo like trash and telling him that he is only safe with and wanted by the judge is exactly what ED does to me. It broke my heart to see him being treated that way but I allow the same thing to happen to me all the time.
Can I really care about others so much and myself so little?
