I watched @phelous reviews of Goodtimes Entertainment and Golden Films some time ago. For some reason, I gravitated towards some characters based solely on their designs. Sometimes it leads to a potentially new story inspired by a minor aspect of the film.
For example, Golden Films’ Beauty and the Beast had a prince who let his people starve before turning into the beast. Three of the starved peasants haunt his castle and serve his needs for some reason. They orchestrate Beauty’s union with the beast.
If I were to “rewrite” the story, Beauty and her family would have been trapped in the beast’s castle. I don’t know why yet. The family would be cared for by the three ghosts. Beauty learns that Beast killed the three men when they asked for food, and she couldn’t bring herself to see the good in him. Instead, she becomes enamored with one of the ghosts. The ghost is in the last picture.
Of course, this would be an entirely new story on its own. That means I need to make original designs for these guys when I write it.
The day I drew these pictures, I thought I’d try to give the characters’ designs an update. Actually, their facial expressions. I drew them by my sister’s request in this order.
