Saw a German empress at the market yesterday!

Takes 5 years ish for it to grow this big, sadly didnt have 500 on me to buy, but if its still there at the end of leave, I'll try to get it

While there aree some rules for bringing uncatalouged things into the lab, Im sure they wont mind a flower, just don't tell my Supervising Officers.

Blattkaktus

Relativ seltene Art des Blattkaktus die meist um Ostern herum blüht.  Da es sich um eine Hybride handelt ist diese Art Blattkaktus schwer zu bestimmen. Vermutlich eine handelt es sich um eine Abwandlung von Disocactus phyllanthoides auch Deutsche Kaiserin genannt. Die Blüten werden bis zu 20 Zentimeter gross. Bei den Blätter sind Längen von einem Meter häufig. Damit der Blattkaktus blüht muss er den Winter über bei niedrigen Temperaturen ausruhen können. Darf aber keinem Frost ausgesetzt sein.
