OOC: Bit of a mirror mirror design ive made for him!

There is not much to say about Mirror beckett without just basically talking about the regular one, person-wise they are almost impossible to tell apart.

I tried to draw him bit more sinister but he just came out looking kind, same way when i redraw Prime him atleast 4 times to not make him look creepy

Mirror beckett is too joyful for the Mirrorverse and regular Beckett is too creepy for the Prime verse

In all ways he just dosent fit anywhere

Theres not much to say about his leg, they used to have a pegleg, before the empire.

Basically how they got on the enterprise (for a bit then transfered to another ship) was that their science shuttle was found during a crisis, they needed any medical help the ship could have so they just...took him up when he mentioned that he has some medical knowladge.

I wouldnt wanna be the guy he treats but for a part-time medical assistant he is okay and actually poses no treath, no bother killing him either since he is possibly the lowest rank, not even an officer

His pegleg got changed off to be more efficient but he sometimes still prefers it. Tells people the carving in the wood is from his homeworld but really he got a broken chair from a merchant and used its leg. The entire new prosthetic is made out of the parts of the Enterprise

With the Mirror Beckett I am sort of outing myself, since he didnt loose his leg in any type of accident or grand fight, he lost it on his own. I myself have been suffering with forms of body integrity identity disorders all my life and I see myself in them that way, since there is very little representation in media, especially star trek.

And by the way Prime Beckett would have the same exact hairstyle (and stubble which i forgot to draw...stone me) but hes quite literarly balding in his early 20s

(HIS ARMS ARENT MISSING BTW I WAS JUST TOO LAZY TO DRAW HIM, one of his fingers is tho, or more, about 3, but the prosthetics for those are very realistic, you gotta guess which)

He handed over a PADD barely waiting for him to take it before letting go of it and started waving around frantically as he talked.

"Y'see I've been doing a study on transcriptomic changes in plants and I was wondering if I could have premission for a solo mission to the nearby planet. There is above avrage amounts of radiation and i need it for my expiriment-

...I'mmm guessing thats your "no" face, sir...well uh...maybe engineering then? Of course with supervision from someone there, Captain."

[ Jim seems a little caught off guard, holding the PADD with wide eyes. He nods slowly, listening, while looking down at the PADD.

[ He shifts his weight a little, hand going to his chin as he thought ] "I'd be most comfortable with a full landing party.. hm.. I don't feel comfortable sending anyone so far out of the way.."

[ He stands, thinking for a bit ]

"Maybe.. no.. Hm.. Ah, yes. I'll look over information on that planet with Mr. Spock. We may be able to do a complete survey. Thank you for bringing this to my attention- uhh"

"Our mission isn't time sensitive right now-- I think Spock would agree that this is more valuable than picking up some diplomat a week early."

"Great!! I'll talk with Mr. Scott and-"

He took the PADD back bit too quickly and almost started running off

"Wait, Mr.Spock?..."

The report on the PADD got an unnecessary check and he scratched the side of his face.

"Yes Mr.Spock, yes, Captain, that would be best, he is the head of life sciences and it's... logical... that he would be the one to help."

Him coughing was really just to move on with the akwardness.

"Thank you, sir, have a good one."

Saw a German empress at the market yesterday!

Takes 5 years ish for it to grow this big, sadly didnt have 500 on me to buy, but if its still there at the end of leave, I'll try to get it

While there aree some rules for bringing uncatalouged things into the lab, Im sure they wont mind a flower, just don't tell my Supervising Officers.

They do have a tendency to break off... it's definitely a succulent that you have to ignore most of the time though. Did you keep messing around with it?

The door barely slid open when the yelling began

The man began storming around the lab, nearly knocking over some sort of sample that looks like it had been left in the tray for way too long.

He finally looked at Sulu and panted from the running up and down, slid his hair back a bit and more reservedly tried to speak in an officer-appropriet tone.Attempted to lean against the closest lab table, finding its full and instead putting his hands on his hips, shifting from one leg to another.

"Oh. Uh...Mr...Sulu...right?

Sorry about the barge in...hope i didnt disturb your meal, uhm.Is Lieutenant Moore here? I tought they would be on duty."

[Sulu watches the outburst with some amusement and waits until Benny is finished.]

I am Sulu! I’ve finished anyway, you’re alright.

Dr. Beckett, is it? Lieutenant Moore’s in the produce greenhouse, they’re treating the potatoes for a minor pest infestation.

He shuffled over and took the clipboard and ziplock bag of moss that was besides Sulu at the counter.

Oh I am doing just dandy, yknow how it is first few months in botanics, you do the cleaning, you do the pack up, hell i had to fix the lab bathroom lock myself!

Im only stationed here temporarly but I know I'm gonna miss this ships botanic bay, it sort of reeks of malpractice y'know

He smiled almost right away,shifting the plastic bag in his hand

"Oh, I can see that! Im just going there actually, they sent me for cleaning supplies, you seem a bit busy at the moment but do come by whenever you can."

He looked towards the lab

"Im not sure if you have lab acess, but you could always comm me when I'm not in the garden or the botanic bay. My comm number is #00582.3 under Beckett, but i doubt there are any other crewmember named B. Beckett in the system, so im sure youll find it without."

His pager beeped and he fished it out of his pocket along with a tic tac and a broken whistle, he seemed to have full pockets of lord knows what not

"Ehh i gotta hop now, they spilt a tube of algae, got a bit of a sticky situation going on, but please do come by. Company is always appriciated."

He gave a sort of straight line smile

Nice guy! From what I've seen

I don't really visit the bridge, he's sometimes down in botanics, you know, lunch, talking with someone, keeping busy with the plants. Sometimes he's just there humming and working, keeps the plants happy you know, I never really exchange any words with him but I've seen other crewmembers fancy him

Long as he's staying out of my work he's good solitary company. Long as.
