So Through The Eyes Of The Dead is fucking amazing live and they played at least three new songs last night. Do not sleep on Disomus when it comes out! It's gonna be a fucking killer album!

Meet the Disomus. I'm trying to get into the habit of posting semi-consistently, so here's to me trying to rework some old poems from my first draft !! This scene got cut a while back and features a ton of short, messy works (i love love love writing Cain's panic omfg), but I'm really keen on revisiting things now that I've rewritten this poem in particular:>

Here marks album number 4 on the tally for South Carolina based deathcore group Through the Eyes of the Dead in their impressive 15 years as a group. They only have 1 original member left since their formation and there has also been a fair few member changes in their time too. These things can happen to a group unfortunately but it’s good to see it hasn’t killed them so that's a positive sign. A point to note though is that they put out a beasty debut, drifted away a bit with the second, brought it back with the third and now we have the troublesome number 4 in which we can either see the breakout or the regression, I’m keen to discover which route.

Its heavy as to be expected, its intricate composition wise which again I expected, what I wasn’t expecting though was just how diabolically vicious it is, a completely full frontal assault on the eardrums of destructive drum beats, barbaric screams and arousing riffs. “Hate the Living” feels like a track that has been dragged out from hell kicking and screaming it is an accumulation of what I see in this album it’s got a bit of everything for you to see what I mean. The only issue I have is that whilst the style is exactly what you need when you’re hyped and angry, I couldn’t stick it on and listen to it on repeat for months I’d need to break it up amongst other bands to keep that initial “holy fuck [insert face made when hearing the dirtiest heaviest riffs] this is the shit right here” feeling, because towards the end of the album that important draw is diminishing.

Those amongst you that have the taste for the darker side of metal, particularly that of an especially heavy nature should definitely check this out and add it to their daily routines. In this subgenre I am not an expert by any means and whilst I am a fan I’m not the world's biggest fan, so I may be disagreed with but if you have any recommendations for me please I’m always on the lookout, but these guys for me are the personification of anger.
