Some samples that I created during the textiles workshop! I really enjoyed this workshop and it has inspired me to create another journey cloth for the pathway “Then and now”. We experimented with disperse dye- using stencils and real plants, and also screen printing. I was surprised at how vibrant the colours came out for disperse dying (especially on synthetic fabric).However, with disperse dyeing its very difficult to be precise, but I like this unpredictability. Learning these techniques have been really useful, and its something that I will definitely use in the future.
