Pillow Talk

We continue to try. Maybe I am the only one who really tries, maybe I am the only one who finds it trying. I keep thinking, this time, this time will be right. Am I fool to have hope spring eternal? When I was told as a youth that hope springs eternal I never imagined that eternal would be my future. Each time, each attempt will be some crack in our wall of silence; this time will be the right time. We will be close we will share something meaningful. We will be lovers and not two uncomfortable bodies in a bed. This time it will be worthwhile and I will be satisfied. This time he will tell me where to lay my hands that doesn’t make him flinch or roll away. I cannot please, and he cannot please, and we cannot admit the displeasure. Is it only me? What if I am the only one left wanting and empty? Do I crave different flesh? I have been pleased. I have tasted kisses to melt my bones. I have been alive within and without. I have pleased, I am certain this must be true. Am I being punished? Was I too free with the pleasure of my self, was I a slut all this time, and now I am being punished by being left outside of the sweating loving fucking that I had from before? Am I unable to have the wildness with the man I live with? I do not think it is the long-term plan I intended on when I agreed on commitment.
