I should really be doing work rather than taking photos and posting them on Tumblr haha. Well I’m trying to jot down notes and plan my dissertation anyway.... not going so well gahhh.

hi guys! i hope you’re all having a lovely day. i’m just making this post because - as some of you may know! - i am a second year university student of journalism and media, and i am currently having to draw up a research proposal for my undergraduate dissertation to begin next year. i have decided to conduct a series of online interviews and focus groups to help me collect data on my chosen topic, which is fan fiction (with particular interest in alternate universe fan fictions, since i can’t find much literature on it yet!). this topic really fascinates me and i want to get some really really good data to impress my lecturers! i know there are lots of fan fiction writers on tumblr and i would just adore to get your opinions.

anyway i’m going to need to ask quite a lot of people to volunteer half an hour or so to chat with me (totally anonymously if you’d like!) on aim or skype or any instant messenger service you’re comfortable with, and some more to be willing to sit in with some other people in group chats. this post is just to check if any of you would be interested/willing to do that and help me out?

i would of course fully explain absolutely everything that i’d be asking you to do, and you’d be able to quit at any time without explanation, etc. then of course i’ll share my finished project with everybody who helps me out! i think i’ll do a prize draw of sorts too where i’ll randomly select five people from amongst everybody who’s willing to take part to have a personalised poem written for them. i just need to know if i can get enough people involved to make this viable, so would you mind just liking or commenting on this post to let me know that this is something you might be willing to help me out with?

Actually I might end up putting in something about how the attitude to all that adultery and incest got steadily more disapproving over the centuries
