What’s a roleplay blog whose characterization you admire?

It goes without saying it that I'm obsessed w Raz's muses like both their Orochimaru @seineijashu and their Suigetsu @tankwater are so good that my Karin's portrayal is practically hinging on their interpretation of their muses, like esp Orochimaru since that's the first muse I ever wrote w them... our dynamics are just so good and their writing, art, everything is so good. And ofc they are my best friend and truly a fantastic artist in every regard I could write an essay about it. But I SHAN'T!!! also because I hate Raz and it's giving me a migraine being nice for too long

What’s a roleplay blog that always keeps you pleasantly surprised?

@bestninjaclub most likely! Idk how to put it into words, but their blog has a really sweet, warm feeling to it and every time I see one of their muse interactions I'm always just very warm and pleased by their portrayals. It's just a joy to have them on the dash lmao // also their canon divergences/narratives for their characters are always so nice, I'm obsessed with physical therapist Rock Li???

What’s a roleplay blog you admire from afar?

I really admire @murasakiirohana's dedication to their ( I couldn't find your pronouns listed so I defaulted to they/them just in case! ) character, Ino. Like idk there's so much obvious passion, care, etcー just a genuine attachment to Ino and an appreciation of all the little things that would make her tic, attention given to her griefs and her joys, idk. Just very nice to see! Plus I'm pretty sure they're a NRP vet too because I swear I remember seeing their blog for yeaaaaars and I do love seeing fellow old souls kicking around the place because for some reason our naruto phase won't let any of us fucking go

    With a polite nod, Kabuto took a step back. Suigetsu had always been one of their loudest subjects. Years spent under the knife had done little to silence him. It seemed that he still felt a great deal of animosity towards him, not that Kabuto could blame him. Unfortunately for Suigetsu, he would simply have to get used to his presence.

god, this whole arrangement stunk. it was like having your stick-in-the-mud, pain-in-the-ass teacher trying to tag along when you ‘n your friends are playing hooky. like, didn’t the guy have friends? (haha, who’s he kidding, this is kabuto. guy had one friend all his life and he ditched ‘em. oh, god, are we his friends now?  are we the closest thing this guy has to friends? that’s so sad.)  oh, man, that was sad. suigetsu almost feels bad for the guy.

Childhood story?

Iruka was the pride and joy of his parents. Kohari fawned over him, adored him, because she was the only child of a woman who wanted a house full of small pattering feet. Ikkaku was strict, and Iruka remembers him as such, but it was for a good reason. If there was one thing that Ikkaku could pass down to his son, he wanted it to be resilience.

 It was a point of contention between them, trying to figure out to parent their son. Kohari wanted Iruka to be kind and loving in a world that was cruel, and Ikkaku wanted him to be strong, to be a survivor in a land constantly under attack.

They would be proud to know that their son grew up to be both.

Myriad grotesqueries afflicted them, body some and mind others, but Karin was beginning to think this was one of the lowest moments of her short, terrible life. Kabuto was trailing around with them now. As if they needed any more identity-confused baggage along for their directionless adventures. Still, she's taking it better than others, but maybe that's a plus-side to being higher on the Otogakure food-chain. Under her breath she addends, ❝and 'help' is awful generous...❞ I suppose it can't be helped... unfortunately.

      Scowling, she snaps: ❝Y'know, if you're goin' to be tagging along, you should quit it at the attempts of team-bonding. It's kinda cringe. Can't you be weird in like, your usual way?❞ Seriously, it was like having your weird dad-brother-uncle thing tag along when you and your friends are hanging out.

Sakura looks up; straight at the eyes of the person who suddenly requested for her presence. It is rare for her to make an appearance inside Konoha's Correctional Facility. But she was told this particular inmate specifically mentioned her name.

“ That is a high risk to take considering you contributed to this problem, Kabuto-san. Not to mention your history of switching sides, who knows whose side you could end up with if we let you out? ”

Deep down, Sakura is very much aware of his talents, the information coming mostly from Shizune, who have acknowledged he may be a better medical apprentice for Tsunade than her. He could be just the person they need, but his past is something that terrifies her.

“ Tell me, then. What guarantee will you give us to trust your abilities until the end of this problem, Kabuto-san? ”

"Uh," she says, brows crunching downwards in consternation. She wasn't prepared for this. This is a case for some quick thinkingー a skillset she is luckily blessed with. In the span of her eyebrows' descent, her eyes flood with an imperceptible torrent of thought as her mind whirls to come up with a logical explanation ( or, more realistically, believable excuse ), unwilling to deal with any petty issue he has about the whole deal. Where was the big deal in not saving somebody's number? Who cared if you lived with them once? For several years? That didn't mean anything. Hell, half the time she had Suigetsu blocked for the small crime of being a giant pain in her ass, and he didn't complain.

Well, that wasn't true. Suigetsu complained a lot about it. Everybody around her were so sensitive. "I don't save numbers under names," she launches into her smooth explanation, "means there's less risk if somebody steals it, or somethin', and finds out what kinda shit I text people about. Practical, don't you think? So I totally have your number. You'll just have to read it out so I can recognize it in my contact lists..." Crisis averted.
