why so many people on internet try to shame who works at home? i keep seeing this on twitter, saying "this is not real work, it's time to return to the office!" "remote work is to lazy people!" while many disabled people said they finally got a job working remote. I can't use common toilets at work due my disability, i prefer work at home.
ugh that's so ableist. I had a great time working from home during the pandemic and honestly I would do it again no problem.
but like lets talk a little more about the bathroom for example. my old job was as a paraeducator and they didn't give us even 4 hours a day so we weren't entitled to breaks. well I would literally not drink water so I wouldn't have to go to the bathroom. this isn't just bad for your overall health it was really dangerous for me because I have chronic migraines and my neurologist has told me if I'm not well hydrated it doesn't matter how many meds I take my migraine won't go away. In the past I've also gotten UTIs because I didn't drink enough water and too much caffeine. and honestly what is the point of all this progress if we're not going to make things like jobs more accessible to everyone?
