Conclusion
Fahrenheit 451 illustrates a world devoid of human communication, which distorts personalities to become unable to wait and emotionless, ultimately leading to the confinement of humans into their own reality. Individuals solely live for momentary contentment as conversations become rare and apathetic because lone enjoyment is put as a primary priority. To entertain themselves, people escape into their own seemingly perfect worlds and mindlessly waste their time. Consequently, cheerful and loving humans are replaced by robotic entities, only existing to be entertained. Bradbury uses this novel to depict what the current society will transform into if western culture, mass media and electronics continue their influences on people’s lives. The human race will lead to its own demise and take a step in the opposite direction of evolution to become no better than the animals surrounding them.
