Wealth Inequality in America (2012)
I recently saw this short video, and was continually shocked at how the reality of wealth distribution is so off key. The top 1% of the population in America own 40% of all the nations wealth. Between the 'Poor' and 'Middle Class' a measly 7% of the nations wealth is shared.. an extremely unequal system. An economy with 54 trillion dollars in 2009, is still leaving well over half of its population with pocket change -
Not forgetting the VAT rates to live in these countries, with this type of economic state, working for any wage is practically un liveable. VAT could be looked at like an automatic 15/20% reduction on your wages, to feed support to the European Commissions, (EU). This is of course without implementing the other taxes you are to live by in the capitalist countries, why are the greedy so greedy?
