Now that I have received my acceptance letter into graduate school to receive a Specialist Degree, let’s examine things I have been told in the past.
The Bad (Only the Highlights)
- “Have you ever considered you are autistic?”

-”You obviously are gay and are too dumb to realize it.”

-”I have never met someone as annoying as you.”
-”I would love to beat your face in.”
-"You won't make it past college, you'll feel too out of place and awkward."
-"You are an embaressment to the band."
-”It makes sense your relationship didn’t work out. You seem unbearable.”
-"Your voice causes my ears to bleed."
-My head and ears hurt every time you have to open your mouth.”
-”You are a fucking retard and will grow up to be a more pathetic 40-year old virgin.”
“Why do you try to make friends?”
-”I can’t see you as growing up and ever accomplishing anything. You seem like the type to die before the age of 30”
-”I would hate to be your wife or a child of yours.”

This isn’t me bragging, its a look at what I have been told in life. I want to give a shout out to all the negative things that were said to my face. I may have believed them for a while, but that faded quickly. Now here I am, ready to start a whole new era of my life. I am proud of who I am and what i try and stand for.
Thank you to all who have been transparently positive to me. Your words have always stuck with me and make me smile. These words help me remember who I want to be and what direction I want to continue to grow in. Each phrase was from someone who is held closely to my heart. I cant wait to continue following my passion.
