Been having fun in the Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream demo. The first two screenshots are from the same save, while the second is from a different save. The third Mii is my self-insert character.
And yes, I headcanon Joel as being a Cancer. Lol

I need to write something about Blood+ because I just finished re-watching it. I have seen it some centuries ago and I remember falling inlove with it, but having no one to talk to because my friends didn't watch it. It was the same time slot as FMAB but I chose Haji over Edward! (Sorry Edward, I love my sexy vampire guardian)
That's me. That girl is my self-insert.
I remember how I told my friend about the first episode because it was too freaky for me, yet... uhhh...
I wish that was me...
And I didn't actually saw the episodes properly because either someone's hogging the tv, or I was doing something else. Anyway, I decided to re-watch it only because my job is too demanding and I need a background noise to drown all the stress. The english dub is good enough and all episode's in Youtube so I just played it while working... and yeah... I just got locked-in. It actually was the first Production IG anime I've seen, and since then I have high regards to their character design and animation.
I love this sequence and the Phantom of the Opera references.
But I'm pleasantly surprised, I thought the characters are flat. I just remember Haji being handsome yet quiet, very little dialogue so very little development too, right? NO! He and Kai have this obvious jealousy against each other and they try to annoy each other every time. I'm also surprised how Haji can annoy him even with very little words. Though I didn't like Kai when I was young (I was just thinking he's just another love interest but I already am loyal to Haji!!!) now I kind of understand him. It's pretty obvious he's got feelings for Saya, but seeing your adoptive sister being kissed forcibly, on the floor, WITH CLOTHES TATTERED, BY THIS STRANGE, HANDSOME GUY YOU ONLY SAW FOR THE FIRST TIME???!?!? Man, he's got every right to be angry. Kai matured in the end, and that punch he gave Haji was well deserved. Speaking of Haji, I still love him. My love for him stood the test of time. He might be one of the reasons why I love men with long-black hair (in theory, irl most of them are assholes) and Saya's the reason why I love short-haired girls. I realized how selfish and immature Saya is. She also abused Haji since day 1. ALSO, imagine unleashing havoc just in a single day! And it's your adoptive father's birthday even! Still, I can't hate Saya. She reminds me of my spoiled niece.
Haji, my beloved...
I watched the whole series dubbed so imagine my surprise when I found out Haji's voice actor is Katsuyuki Konishi!!!! (Sylus, SAKAMOTO UMETAROU?!?!? AS A VAMPIRE?!?!?!?!?) Then there's Diva. The antagonist of this show. I actually liked her. Now, I STILL like her. I love her. Weirdly, I can relate to her. I have sisters, but not one of them know me like my brothers do. I just want a girl bestfriend, a proper sister who I can get along with. But they're always busy with lovelife. I actually had a boyfriend once but it didn't change my personality and ability to have fun. But my sisters just... (sorry for ranting, ok, back to this Diva) Diva just wants to live. Well, she uhh... killed Saya's "family" (wow girl, they're BLOOD-RELATED, basically twins and Diva got experimented, probably even sexually abused for the sake of learning her reproduction as implied by Amshel that she mated with various males! WTF! But Saya didn't really bother caring about Diva's background... Or I'm just having a bias... Heheh...) and uhh... yeah... she raped a child. Honestly, I think it's one of the reason why this show will be quite on fire if it's viewed today. Diva is also very immature, but she wasn't treated as a human in the first place. She just want to turn everyone into a chiropteran like her~ awwww~
Same, girl.... same...
I also love how her Chivaliers have diverse background. She got a black guy, a white guy, an asian, gay, and old pervert. Girl, you don't discriminate! Hungry queen.
Can't find a photo of them all together except of this one
Then, there's Solomon...
I remember wanting to personally kill Solomon. I like how Haji didn't even seemed too jealous of him, he's more jealous of Kai. He knows Solomon won't have Saya for himself, but I just didn't like how Saya rejected him. It felt like she's still not inlove with Haji, after all these years they're together. She might still see him as a child...? Quite understandable though because that probably will how I feel too, but seeing him risk EVERYTHING for her... uhh... girl, I'll fold.
Overall, it made me feel the empty, lonely feeling after watching a great show. It's not really that great though, it has flaws and parts that are not boring but... not my thing... like military stuff (ahem, I read Golden Kamuy. I might be a liar) but I respect the writers and everyone behind this. The music, the songs, everything is made with passion. To think this is an anime original, only loosely based on Blood - The Last Vampire, they really did a great job creating a fucked-up lore (damn, it SUCKS to be a chiropteran queen. Imagine stealing your sister's boyfriend if you want to reproduce? What if you're like Diva who just didn't like Haji??? She's not into hot vampires, I guess...) and I strongly recommend this, specially to girls because it's supposed to be the target audience. Felt a bit shoujo to me, to be honest, but I appreciate my brother watching some episodes with me. It made me feel less lonely.
