"This is what it's all about." --Janelle Nicolo WBFF Pro and @bodyambitionfitness Owner and Head Coach I could not think of a better way to be awarded WBFF Diva Fitness Model Pro Status! With my incredibly and relentlessly supportive parents in the audience, I stood with our newbie BA athlete @bethanymacintosh to my right, my co-assistant coach and amazingly talented friend and BA sister @amyG (who will one day have an ig😉) to my left, and the woman behind it all, our coachy @janellenicolo ! I'll never be able to describe the feeling (note-- see tears. LOTS of them). This past week was the toughest of my entire career as an athlete, but also the most rewarding. After my first time stepping on a #WBFF stage, I knew that this would be my home and I made up my mind that one day I would join the ranks of the pros. After months of training, prepping, competing and falling short, crying, constantly visualizing stepping into that center stage after being called by @da_bricks, and sometimes dancing (see peak week video haha), Saturday night my dream that I had so vividly envisioned became a reality! I'm so honored to be amongst a group of dedicated, forward thinking, and genuinely KIND athletes. I can't express how encouraging, motivating, and inspiring the WBFF Pros have been to me (whether directly or indirectly) wayyyyy before this night. And now to think that I myself am a #wbffpro? Humbling. Insane! Thank You!!!!! <3 RECIPE: Protein Crêpes
Crêperie in Montmarte, a popular tourist area in Paris, lots of mimes and the BEST crêpes everrrrr.

....So I did what I always do when I want something that isn't necessarily clean: I went to google! And I type whatever I'm craving or want to try making and then just drop "clean" right in front, sometimes adding protein helps too haha. Anyway, what I ended up with was a variation of an original recipe that I found here.
Protein Pancakes (my variation)
Ingredients
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I used whey, I think whey or casein would work best)**
3 egg whites OR 1/2 cup of egg whites
2 tbsp almond milk OR milk of choice (to make the batter more "liquidy" for the crêpe consistency)
Strawberries (or fruit of choice, I know some people bang with Bananas -- not a banana fan myself -- but feel free to mix it up!)
"Filling of choice" I used a tbsp of almond butter to get that good fat in, but feel free to use Nutella if you're looking to indulge a little!
Frontier Vanilla Flavor** (not necessary, but I used it to drizzle on the final product since I didn't use a sweetener in the batter, you can opt for pure maple syrup if you'd like to drizzle on top of yours or to add into the batter, in which case you would want to use 1 less tbsp of almond milk)
dash of Cinnamon to use in place of powdered sugar
**note: If you don't have protein powder, I imagine you could use any flour you want, I'd opt for coconut flour, but that will give it a slight coconut taste. Another healthy option would be oat flour. If you use a different flour beware you'll be getting less protein out of this meal, also I haven't personally tried it this way so I can't vouch for the texture/taste, etc.
Directions
Mix egg whites and scoop of protein powder in a blender, may stick to sides a little so you may have to scrape off the sides.
Cook in a HOT well sprayed pan. Spread batter around in pan in a thin, even coat.
Let it cook until dry (be careful not to burn it!):
And then no need to flip, just take it out, and fold it in half so that the golden side is on the outside:
Once you have it folded in half you can spread your filling of choice and add your fruit of choice...
...and VOILA! --you can fold it in half again if you want like I did in my version :). Love me some presentation!
