        ‘ what do you do with it ? ’   the bunker was like being back inside of mount weather,  almost.  almost.  she was the last of the mountain men and her people had done unforgivable things to the outsiders earthborn.  maya sat and ate and slept alongside skaikru,  but she wasn’t truly one of them,  either.  there was not truly a place for someone like her here,  especially with jasper gone.  ‘ the anger.  where do you put it ? ’

          "is it weird i keep coming back to check on a cat that i rescued?"   not that buck even remotely cares. he doesn't. he enjoys stopping by the clinic and seeing all the animals, and he does enjoy getting updates on mira. he's just lucky that doctor rojas hasn't refused to let him in, or put on some type of restraining order on him yet.   "or that i usually end up on the floor with at least five animals on me?"   which, yeah, that's where buck's currently located: on the floor, with four kittens crawling over him. though that doesn't seem to be bothering buck at all, he's soaking up the attention. the love. the pure adorableness.

𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝚂𝚄𝙳𝙳𝙴𝙽 𝚂𝚃𝙰𝚃𝙴𝙼𝙴𝙽𝚃 𝙸𝚂 𝙰𝙻𝙼𝙾𝚂𝚃 𝙻𝙸𝙺𝙴 𝙰 𝚂𝙻𝙰𝙿 𝚃𝙾 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙵𝙰𝙲𝙴,  enough that Finn physically pulls back from him for a moment and drops his gaze in momentary thought.  He’s been asking a series of questions to the man sitting next to him but it’s becoming obvious that his method hadn’t been well received.         “ Oh . . . my god —— I’m being a class-A douchebag right now,  aren’t I?  Look —— I’m sorry,  if you want,  I’ll just leave you alone and we can forget about all of this.  I’ve just uhh —— never been to one of . . . these. ”        And by  these  he’s referring to their surroundings,  a run-of-the-mill,  hardly abnormal,  gay bar.  One in which Finn had interrupted the drag show to bother someone else.        “ If I said I was trying to hit on you,  would you believe it? ”

rapunzel takes a seat at the first empty stool she can find,  the first thing the bartender telling her being an observation that only one could make if they’ve worked in the field long enough.    if they’ve worked at the bar long enough, specifically.    a small laugh passes the blonde’s lips as she nods in response,  eyes lowering to her hands that rest upon the counter.    “i take it there’s usually just regulars coming in here, huh?” she asks with another laugh.     “i, uh--- yeah.   yeah.    i’m new to the area,  figured i’d check out a few spots.    you’ve worked here long, i guess?”   // world beyond / @hopecarved ( accepting )
