Pendulum Question

Okay so ive been using my rose quartz necklace as a pendulum because its always around my neck and i figured already is in tune to my energy due to me always wearing it and constantly feeling its energy.

However my question is, do i need to make a pendulum board or chart on a piece of paper in order to use the pendulum? A few years ago i was taught to firmly hold it above my free hand, palm facing up.

If i ask the pendulum what directions yes, no and maybe will be in before i ask questions, is a chart really needed?

Divination question! Does anyone know whether the wise woman from the best movie in the fucking world is practicing a traditional method of fortune telling (looks maybe like onmyodo, which i can't wrap my brain around) or one of Miyazaki's invention? The info I've found on the Emishi people has been very vague about spirituality. Any input would be appreciated, this has been bugging me for years.

What are all the types of Divinitation one can learn?

Oh, man. If I took the time to write and explain each one, I'd be on the computer for easily a week straight.

There are so many types of diviniation, something I think a lot of people don't realize because they don't think to look past tarot, oracle, and scrying.

Here is a very long, descriptive list of divination techniques from good old Wikipedia. It ranges from melting wax into cold water, to cutting an apple in half, to divination through navels (no joke here).

When I suggest to people to start learning a form of divination with their Craft, I don't mean the standard ones. Find one that really appeals to you, and your divination techniques will multiply because of it.

Let's say you really happen to have a thing for eggs, for some reason. Oomancy might be for you!!
