If you're gay and you use the split attraction model, you aren't a community traitor. You aren't hurting yourself by using what best describes you.

If you're gay and femme? Your life has meaning and value. You aren't dragging the community down by existing. You aren't predatory just for existing.

If you're gay and femme and not white? It's not true that only a white boy would love you. That's bullshit, people saying that aren't the grand Poobah of the community.

If you're gay and butch? You're allowed to exist. The word butch was used for you by the community for generations.

If you're gay and disabled? It's okay if you don't go to pride or gay bars much due to accessibility issues or the noise involved being painful. It doesn't make you less gay. It means you need better spaces to interact with the community.

If you're gay and a teenager? It's okay if your understanding of your sexuality shifts over time. That doesn't make what you feel right now something to be dismissed. You deserve to have a community there for you.

If you're bisexual but you identify more as gay, due to being more attracted to dudes than women or just not engaging in separatism? You're welcome at my table, and I'll defend you against anyone who tries to act otherwise.

If you're technically gay but hate being called gay (preferring homosexual, fag, etc)? Welcome to the club, I don't like it either. It's a word that's got some problems.

If you're trans and gay? Your body isn't gross, and your body parts aren't "mismatched". You aren't desirable in spite of your physical reality and you don't exist only for chasers.

If you want to know the symbolism, here it is:

Black stands for strength, inclusion/diversity, remembrance of the fallen, and resolve.

Blue-purple represents the moon (a symbol of feminine beauty), purple roses, gender nonconformity, and explicitly includes intersex, transgender, and nonbinary people who are apart of the community.

Green represents masculinity, plants associated with gay men, and in general was a color associated with homosexuality.

Dark red represents pomegranates, wine (and henna) which were sometimes referenced in medieval Sephardic homoerotic poetry, passion, and resistance.

The purple rose is a motif I’ve seen in some other gay flags, and is based off of the blue moon rose.

The antlers are because again in Sephardic gay poetry, lovers are compared to deer and gazelles.

Hyacique

Hyacique, count from the word Hyacinth and the suffix -ique, meaning made of or belonging to. This term refers to men who have relationships with men, or those adjacent to men.

Hyacinth is the name of a flower and of a minor Greek deity. He was a lover of Apollo from Sparta, and died in an accident. He was later resurrected and gained immortality. The root word was chosen for the flower.

The term was created by me with some input from @halloweenz to fill in a space we noticed that was missing; neither of us like Wildean as a term (due to him being an antisemite and a pedophile that targeted boys from my cultural group), and divinchian is unwieldy. MLM has issues of ignoring that some of the community leans or flat out is transfemme and the issues of potential appropriation. 'Queer men' has issues of not referring specifically to what we mean. Ultimately I thought not making a term based on a person might be best, and this one refers to a plant and a mythological figure.
