I finished my rewatch of Cloak and Dagger and all it did was make me sad. Aubrey and Olivia deserved so much more than to have their show cut short so arbitrarily. The story was already great and was only getting better. But we will never see the full levels of Tandy and Ty's respective abilities of hope/light and fear/darkness. We'll never see them take on modern day social issues from their often opposite viewpoints of life. We're gonna miss out on more of the perfect parallel storytelling that the writers used to connect Ty and Tandy showing how different they were but how much their lives mirrored one another's and how connected their personalities and abilities actually would be. And I know I'm gonna sound like a sappy shipper here but I wanted to watch them fall in love goddammit!! They were literal soul mates! The Divine Pairing! It was built into the story! The cancelation is just as unforgivable now as it was six months ago, especially since April is when the new season would have started. I can only hope that the future of Marvel Entertainment involves Cloak and Dagger in some way and that Aubrey and Olivia get to reprise their heroic roles. You don't find onscreen chemistry like that everyday. Till then, it was a great ride 😔😔😔
