To say that Kiba was impressed might be quite the understatement. For the second time in his life, he found himself utterly unable to say a word, the entirety of his few braincells focused on staring the other demon down.
He was looking the embodiment of power in the eye. In its many eyes, actually - while Kiba's left eyelid remained closed over his own missing eyeball, left behind in the hands of their shared master.
It wasn't too long before Kiba's bravado returned, his brain rewiring itself after the initial shock. To meet the Demon Lord in person had been one thing, but this was slightly different. Kiba only had to observe Upper Moon One for a few seconds to understand why he had been standing at the top rank for so long.
"You're unbeatable."
Kiba's statement was followed by a cackle, a crazed smirk tugging at his lips. This encounter was the opportunity of a lifetime. Muscles rippled over his half-bare frame, sharp claws and fangs glinting in the moonlight. To even try and think about attacking this one would be a one-way ticket to a gruesome death. The difference in their strength was that of an anthill at the bottom of a mountain, abysmal, utterly ridiculous.
Which was the exact reason why Kiba had to try anyway.
He launched himself at Kokushibo with all the speed he could muster, a rabid little beast pouncing on its prey, claws bared to try and poke at the demon's many eyes. Surely, with so many ocular globes plastered across his face, he wouldn't mind if Kiba borrowed one of two of them, right?
