It’s a situation so delicate it hurts. But Terumi has no problem hurting himself in front of Nuregami and that makes it worse and she can not handle.

Nuregami was quiet, worrying Yumigami. Had she hoped for an answer that Yumigami did not have? It was a worry that prevailed, worsened even upon noticing the look on Nuregami’s face. It was of heartbreak, brow furrowed deeply and her jaw clenched tightly as if trying to hold it all back. Yumigami strode forward hesitantly reaching out to brush away and smooth Nuregami’s bang from her face. At odds though they were as of late, they were still sisters and Yumigami would do what she could for Nuregami, even if it did not seem like much at the time.

     “Nuregami, what’s wrong? Did something happen? You know you      can come to me if you need help. You’re my sister, you are a child      of the brush, and you’ll never be abandoned even if we all end up at      odds with one another from time to time.”

But then, perhaps that was the wrong thing to say but the reassurance was there nonetheless. She and Nuregami had not been on even ground for awhile, not since she’d met and become enamored wit Hazama... The situation between Nuregami and Itegami at that time had no doubt only widened the imagined rift. But Nuregami was not alone, she’d no need to shoulder burdens by herself if she needed aid.
