first XC meet!
the day had finally come, Today was my school's first xc meet and I was running in it...one word NAUSEOUS The whole bus ride (at 5:45 a.m) i was so anxious. I am new to the team and I just feel like i haven't trained nearly as hard.
At the start everyone starts at the same time and not being an aggressive runner i did not push myself up to the front. from that point I lagged in the race. it was either a combination of nerves and tiredness or just the humidness but I did not feel well during the race.
Overall the team did well- the freshman did way better than i expected and we all encouraged one another which really was heart warming. I'm really excited for this season and what this team will do. less than 50 days until our championships so a lot of hard work ahead!
