My thoughts on legally getting married in a California court. You can be in a commitment relationship but I don't see the need for a successful man of means to get the courts involved. I've seen too many men lose half of everything they worked for and built to some woman who stayed home and did what can be done for a couple hundred dollars a month. You may see it differently, but you haven't seen what I've seen. 86% of divorces are initiated by the woman and there are some women who get married with the intention of one day getting divorced.
