Divulgeshipping au where the yamis get reincarnated into new bodies with new identities and they're sent on a mission to close all the Doors to the Darkness they and other shadow magic users ever opened. Sort of enemies to lovers, but mostly because of tkb, Atem and Yamima actually pair up for the task pretty fast. Yamima and Atem experience/re-experience the beauty of life and growing into your own person, while Bakura thwarts and antagonises them for a while, trying to cut his connection off from the Darkness by himself before he eventually joins up the other two. They travel the world together, try to work through their individual pasts and issues, and grow closer along the way. There's probably a lot of trial and error, and Bakura falls back into the grasp of Zorc at least once, but they all get through it and learn how to better themselves. Atem struggles a lot with wanting to see Yugi but also feeling like if they met, he would make things worse and still feeling like Yugi choose to abandon him. Yamima wants to completely distance himself from the Ishtars but also feels like he owes some sort of explanation to them, maybe even an apology (but definitely not for the patricide). Tkb is mostly just tired of his own existence and desperate for a new purpose that won't hurt him in the long run. Lots of hurt but ultimately a lot of comfort.
