I want to get the Dixie flag tattooed on me... but I also don’t want to be shot by some crazy person.
*treats anyone who flies the Confederate battle flag as a battle ready Naval fleet and blowing them up*
Me on a date: So what's your opinion on the confederate flag?
Them: I think it's an important part of southern histor-
Me, shoving breadsticks into my purse: I have to go home right now immediately
The Jews were slaves in Egypt
But the pyramids still stands as a wonder of the world
Christians were slaves in Rome
But the Colosseum where they were brutally murdered for fun still stands as a historical masterpiece
African Americans were slaves as we all know
So why do we want to erase that evidence of the Dixie flag when we glorify all other proofs of slavery in the world- The flag is history not a statement -The Dixie flag is not here to offend anyone just as the pyramids were not created for the sole purpose of degrading the Jews
The flag is a representation of Southern culture just as the Colosseum is to ancient Roman life Why is it ok to glorify and wonder at the proof of some slavery but another we try to erase from history forever?
