what’s you Licorice village lore, I am very curious
So, my most refined and up to date version of my DIY Licorice village lore still plays heavily on the cookies evolving from the Licorice Sea.
My idea as of now is that they are an evolved version of the larger licorice creatures we see as enemies in the cacao kingdom, that, as they evolved, could take off their skin and appear cookie-like, kind of like selkies.
As those cookies became more sentient, they eventually moved into land and made a village near the sea. Then capitalized on seafood and medicinal products as their main exports, as I imagine the village having many apothecaries.
I imagine the villages downfall is a result of the black wall being built and limiting trade, combined with a general distaste for licorice creature cookies and fear of the still wild and distant relatives (the enemies we fight in game.)
