Elephant Toothpaste Buster.
It’s been a while since I’ve done any DIY related videos...
Yum.
I couldn't sleep, so at 3am I gave up and just got out of bed. I decided I should make good use of the time, so I made a pot of tea, and got out my rosemary and my basil.
My apartment now smells divine. And they were both super easy to make!
Basil Toner:
Take approximately 20 fresh basil leaves and crush them with a wooden spoon/mortar and pestle to bring out the oils. Place leaves in a large heat-safe bowl. Poor boiling water over leaves and allow to steep for 20 minutes. Strain, put in the fridge. Will last 1 week.
Rosemary Hair Rinse:
Place 5-6 sprigs of rosemary in a pot, fill with water and bring to a boil. Once boiling, allow to simmer 20 minutes. Cool, strain, put on hair.
My basil toner is cooling in the fridge, and my rosemary hair rinse in on the stove cooling/steeping. I am so excited to try them!
I'm going to have to buy some herb plants and put them in the window box I have. I don't get much sunlight in the basement, but I'm sure my landlord won't mind if I put them in the backyard. In the winter I could put them on top of the bookshelf right by the window.
So excited!
I'm definitely going to have to get my hands on some Dr Bronner's to replace my face and body wash. It feels so damn good to use natural products. I wish I had tried them sooner. Better late than never!
