Finally finished (well for now) my 10-Minute Oracle inspired by this post
from @otm_academy ! (Though I must confess I spent way more than 10 minutes on actually making it!)
Here is my first reading with it: I asked the suggested question of "what do I need to release and what do I need to embrace?" but added a timeframe of this week.
The House Spider symbolizes ingenuity and problem solving because our spider in the living room is in this really high corner and kind of made a little niche for herself. It also can mean hard work.
So I interpret this as saying that this week I need to stop trying to solve all the problems and instead take time to relax, and rest.
Recliner is pretty self-explanatory. Rest, relaxation, take a load off.
This was a lot of fun and it really stretched my intuitive muscles! I highly suggest this exercise for anyone looking for a quick foray into diy Oracle decks!
Here is one of the backs: I wanted to make sure that the writing didn't bleed through to the back so I just did a very simple layering of colored pencil and then "10" for the 10 Minute Oracle.

Alright. So, oracle cards. Ain't my first go at it. I'm in the broom closet, and I have no money. My best option is using my creativity. I'm new so I didn't and don't really want to jump into tarot. Plus, there's alot of research and alot of dedication... So I stuck with a simpler route for now. Oracle. Very customizable, very personal.. Very creative and abstract.. Perfect for me. My first go at it was a complete train wreck, no way were those going to be used. So I scraped them and used a little more effort in the next set. Those ones came out alot better and quite nice and I've used them for a while.. Then I was bored in my room b/c my parents are off all week this week, and I thought, hm I should make something. Fortunately, I had like half a deck of terot cards that I found in the art room at my school.. Yes I asked for them before I took. Full sized cards.. I knew I wanted to use them for something. I folded one in half, just for whatever purposes and the idea popped into my head! Oracle cards! I got to choppen a bunch in half and I found that I had no idea what I wanted to put on them. The internet kept me warm for a little while, while I searched for inspiration. Then it hit me and I knew. Again, fortunately, I have a VERY large amount of scrap papers that I found inside the art room.. Or just paintings that I did and tore apart.. Whatever the case.. I had em.. So, collage. I was excited. I love collage and got really into it in my latest art journal. Then for words.. Again, a fortune, I also hand make all of my art journals and I have a bunch of text blocks; which are in innerds of a book, b/c I reuse their covers as journals.. Lying around. I started cutting out words and phrases from those and putting them into a bowl. Then, when I'm ready, I just pick one out and work with it. Creating these collage/text Oracle cards. I really like them.. I seal them using packing tape, but anything clear will work. Or laminate.. Just something in case anyone wants to create but doesn't know how to or where to start. I have other cards that only require paper and a pen, so if anyone wants more information let me know. Also, this isn't the fill deck b/c I am not yet finished making all the cards yet.

I decided to take a risk and use my trusty diy oracle for the Card of the Day ✨
Take a step back. You need to take a breath, or get some distance, in order to readjust and do things the best you can. Sometimes you're too close to the situation, or you're locked into a mindset. Embrace new perspective.
Card of the day!
A lovely little warning from my diy'd oracle deck- be careful what you let influence you. Make sure you only nurture things that are positive/helpful for you. If it starts feeling harmful, let it go!
