Ryan Reynolds Learns the Agonizing Struggle of Building IKEA Furniture
The Swedish furniture giant is a brand we love to love, and kinda love to hate. Sure, it’s our favorite source for so many amazing furniture hacks, but it’s also a known relationship killer and general source of frustration due to its notoriously confusing assembly instructions.

For their cover story this month, GQ magazine challenged new dad Reynolds —who welcomed a daughter, James, with wife Blake Lively in December — to build an IKEA crib and filmed his efforts. The results are hilarious…and very relatable.
While asking customer service for help, Reynolds deadpans, “Besides a slow descent into alcoholism, I’m just really having trouble finding all the screws and pieces that go with it. I mean, there’s got to be over a hundred thousand pieces that came with it.”
Watch all the way for his final effort and mic-drop style walkaway. Seriously, who hasn’t wanted to do that?
