This is the result of a DIY shower drain alteration. The customer was complaining about a disgusting smell emanating through shower drain. when we inspected the waste pipelines under house we found that no waste trap fitting had been installed. Waste traps are installed to stop sewerage smell from emitting into house. Waste trap fittings must be installed to all fixtures connected to the sewer pipeline. If in doubt just install one.
