Moe Pope vs The Pixies, mashed by DJ bc
listening to my entire itunes library on shuffle and i heard the first few notes of "don't let's start" and thought to myself huh "that sounds like 'they might be starting'"
...and it was
"they might be starting" skips the little drum/keyboard intro before the melody of "don't let's start" begins and has an additional drum track under it, i think that's how i knew before the vocals started lol
Softcore as fuck

Can’t Your Hear Biz Knockin’? - Biz Markie vs. The Rolling Stones (dj BC)
I have played this mashup SO MANY TIMES that now when I hear the original Stones song, I start singing this version instead.
Happy Mardi Gras
I don't know how I've been running this blog for like 2 years without mentioning (at least in any way I could find), how much I enjoy dj BC. One of the best mashup DJs out there, this album is one of the reasons I like Wu Tang. It's a mashup of Wu Tang and New Orleans jazz. All these tracks are great, but I think Just the Wu of Us is probably my favorite.
Of course, you could also just listen to some Zydeco (one of my favorite kinds of music that I was surprised so few people know about). I just saw these guys perform last weekend, but there may be more authentic examples of the style out there.
