hide開創的夏季音樂祭「hide presents MIX LEMONeD JELLY」今年也將繼續舉辦，預計於8月5日在新木場STUDIO COAST盛大展開。第一波演出名單也已發表，包括 J、ニューロティカ、MAGUMI AND THE BREATHLESS、LM.C 、jealkb、DJ INA、DJ ダイノジ、DJ 浅井博章、ZEPPET STORE、defspiral、SPEED OF LIGHTS、カルメラ、heidi.、DaizyStripper等。 (more…)

On July 18th at the Maihama Amphitheater, over 130 artists gathered for “hide presents MIX LEMONed JELLY.” The event was originally produced by hide 20 years ago and featured not only musical guests, but also a wide array of food stands, volunteer group booths, games, hair dressers, fashion exhibitions, and even BMX.
MIX LEMONed JELLY 2016 featured artists like DJ-INA, Jin-Machine, ZEPPET STORE, KNOCK OUT MONKEY, defspiral, D’ERLANGER, J (LUNA SEA), and more. It also featured…Adventure Time? That’s right – Finn and Jake made an appearance on the runway for fashion brand galaxxxy‘s runway show.
One interesting feature of the event was that while the entire lineup and timetable was announced ahead of time, the timetable didn’t feature which artists would perform in each time slot. The reason for this, according to the event organizers, links back to the original festival.
“Let’s go see [ ] at 12:00!”
In 1997, the Internet was relatively unknown. People barely had any access to information prior to attending an event. hide purposely kept the mystery intact in order to allow fans to experience a wide range of events and music. And so, MIX LEMONed JELLY 2016 followed this trend as well.
MIX LEMONed JELLY 2017 is already in the works. It’s sure to be bigger and better than ever, so start saving up for that Japan trip next summer!
